Father Browne Titanic Prints
The Titanic Trail is delighted to be able to offer the “White Star Line Offices, Cobh” print from the famous Father Browne’s ‘Titanic Collection’.
This photograph was taken by Father Browne some time after the tragic sinking of Titanic. It depicts a scene of passengers at the back of the White Star and America line offices building in Cobh. Its value is that it gives us a contemporary idea of what the scene was like on 11th April 1912 when one hundred and twenty three passengers assembled in an identical fashion to await the arrival of two tenders that would convey them to the rendezvous point from where they would board Titanic on her only visit to Cork Harbour.
